Food
Students may pack or purchase food at the lodge. (Keep your money in a safe zipped pocket while you are skiing so you do not have to get back in your locker when you are ready to eat).
Suggested Checklist
Thermal-wear, turtleneck, sweater, waterproof jacket, ski pants, socks, gloves, hat, goggles, money, (wrist guards and helmets).
Behavior
Know the Skier’s / Snow Boarder’s Code. Please conduct yourself appropriately at all times. You are representing church. All obvious rules apply. No drinking, drugs, smoking, weapons, etc permitted. Loss of skiing or snowboarding privileges and disciplinary action will result with no refunds. A valid school ID is required for all trips.
Lessons
If your child has skied or snowboarded 3 times or less, professional lessons should be taken. Lessons are for one hour and make the sport safer plus improve skiing or snowboarding ability.
Lockers
All belongings including shoes and packed dinner must be stored and locked in lockers or put into basket check. The locker cost is 50 cents. Every time you open the locker it costs 50 cents to lock it again. Basket check prices are a couple of dollars a day and you can access them at all times. The exact price had not been set at this time.
Ski Locks
It is important to lock up your skis or snowboard when you are in the lodge. You can purchase a lock at a ski or bike shop, Wal-Mart, etc…(keep your lock in your pocket while you are skiing.) During most hours of operation, Bear Creek also runs an employee staffed ski check station to reduce theft.
